Despite a projected $8 billion burn this year, the company has secured more than $30 billion in funding commitments from SoftBank, Sequoia, and Tiger Global, ensuring sufficient compute access and runway. At a valuation above $150 billion and a forward revenue multiple comparable to the top decile of software companies, OpenAI combines frontier technology leadership, consumer brand power, and enterprise monetization. In a market that will consolidate around a few scaled players, OpenAI is best positioned to capture a disproportionate share of the multi-trillion dollar AI opportunity.
