The Bot Company was founded in 2024 by Kyle Vogt, Paril Jain, and Luke Holoubek. Our mission is to build affordable robots that give you back time, starting in the home.

We’re are a small team of researchers, engineers, and designers from places like Cruise, Tesla, OpenAI, Google Research, and Amazon. We are on a speed run to deploy general purpose robots in millions of homes, building the necessary AI, software and hardware in-house. We work in-person in San Francisco, California.

The Bot Company is an early-stage robotics startup founded by Kyle Vogt, the serial entrepreneur who built and scaled Cruise into one of the leading autonomous vehicle companies before its acquisition by GM. Vogt is joined by Paril Jain and Luke Holoubek, former engineers from Tesla and Cruise, giving the team deep expertise at the intersection of robotics, AI, and scaled hardware deployment. This is one of the most credentialed teams in the space, with a proven ability to bring cutting-edge robotics technology from research into commercialization. Their focus is on creating AI-native, at-home robots designed to handle practical daily tasks, with non-humanoid systems that combine mobility and manipulation capabilities powered by large language models that can adapt, learn, and follow natural language instructions.

The scale of early investor conviction underscores the potential. In less than a year, The Bot Company has raised $300 million, including a $150 million round at a $2 billion valuation led by Greenoaks, despite not yet releasing a product or generating revenue. The bet is that LLMs and foundation models make robotics more intuitive, lowering barriers for real-world adoption in households and industrial settings. With Silicon Valley now viewing robotics as the next frontier for AI, The Bot Company is positioned to be one of the few startups with both capital and team pedigree to define this market. If they succeed, they will not just be building another consumer gadget, they will be building the foundational robotics platform for the AI era.
